Shamrock Shake Pudding Shots
Hi friends! Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? I know for many folks it’s a day to partake in everything green, shamrock shaped and perhaps, a little boozy. Now I’m not a big drinker but I do love fun fruity drinks like a good rum punch, sangria and yes, fun flavored shots. I am also a BIG FAN of the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake so this is just a natural adaptation for a homemade Shamrock Shake recipe: Shamrock Shake Pudding Shots!
Shamrock Shake Pudding Shot Ingredients
- Souffle cups
- Iinstant vanilla pudding
- Milk
- Vanilla extract
- Whipped (or vanilla) vodka
- Creme de menthe
- Cool whip
- Green food coloring
- Whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries
How to Make Shamrock Shake Pudding Shots
1. Lay the plastic soufflé cups out on a large plate or tray and set aside.
2. Pour the vanilla instant pudding mix into a medium mixing bowl.
2. Add the cold milk and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
3. Pour in the vodka and creme de menthe liqueur and stir to incorporate.
4. Fold in the Cool Whip and stir until completely blended with the pudding.
5. Add 1-2 drops of green food coloring and stir well until you have achieved your desired shade of green. (I tried to match the exact shade of a McDonald’s shamrock shake).
6. Spoon the pudding mixture into the plastic cups, filling almost to the top of each cup.
7. Place in the refrigerator and chill overnight or for at least 4 hours. If you are not serving the pudding shots after 4 hours, you can place lids on the plastic cups until you are ready to serve.
8. Before serving, and a dollop of whipped cream and top off each pudding shot with a maraschino cherry.
