I do a little of both, buy and make…having over 20 people I usually buy/make gifts for each year. Two years ago however, I did only crochet gifts!

  2. Angela Kinder says

I actually have bought most of mine, but for my Twin and Mom, I plan on making special gifts just for them!

  3. Georgette says

I work retail..so likely with the holidays coming, time will not be on my side. I would like to make all of my gifts, but I’m a novice crafter and need to learn more anyway…so I’m going to say I’ll end up buying most of them, regrettably.

I’m doing both handmade and store bought presents this year. I’m making fabric scrap teddybear tutus and vests for my nieces and nephews (there’s 12 of them). For parents and grandparents, we’re planning some handprint keepsakes. I have a whole board pinned with kid crafts that make great Christmas gifts.

I am planning on making and buying Christmas gifts this year. The majority being Making. I have found some great ideas. Tooth fairy pillow for my granddaughter. Homemade liquid soap(all I had to do was buy the dispensers at the Dollar Store) and a few ingredients. Sachet bags for drawers and closets and scrapbooks for some of my family as my mom just gave me a huge collection of family albums!

  6. Kortney Picker says

I am planning on buying all of our Christmas gifts this year, we have been renovating our house and I have had no time or space (it has been so dusty and dirty) to make any gifts!

  7. says

Well, I had planned on making the majority of the gifts this year but my life just got thrown for a loop as my MIL is dying and we are traveling there for Christmas. Probably back to buying most things this year. Maybe next year.;)

  8. Terri Moore says

Last year I made a lot of presents for Christmas and this year I’m planning on making even more. They were really appreciated for the time I put into them and meant a lot to my family. Pinterest was a huge help with coming up with ideas and remembering them. thank you for a great giveaway!

  9. Brenda Melahn says

Absolutely — I have already started. Spend most money on purchased, but most enjoyment on those gifts I make.

  10. Brennen says

A little bit of both. Mostly I would like to make presents, but as time runs out for making them, I’m sure I’ll see myself buying more and more.

  11. grace says

I usually will do both .. for the grandparents I will make something “handmade” — they love it that way. For other families probably will just get gift-cards :-) Thanks for this giveaway.

  12. MarciaW says

Both make and buy — have made and still making presents for the grandnieces
We exchange names for the adults so will buy one for exchange and one for my mother.

  13. Tiffany Overton says

I am going to do both. I have kids and I love for them to make there grandparents presents. I also make gifts for a lot of my friends!

  14. says

I usually only make handmade presents when someone requests one. It avoids hurt feelings when I spend a lot of time knitting or sewing something that the recipient doesn’t truly appreciate. So far, I’ve had two requests. Everyone else will probably get store-bought goodies.

  15. sopha jones says

Trying to figure out what to do with a dozen large mason jars. Definately making presents for the family this year.

  16. Lynne says

Both! I am not artistic at all – but I can take a pretty good photograph – so I am going to be going through all the photos I have taken this year and using them to make prints, collages, put them on mugs, make photobooks, etc…
Also my husband does leather work and beading – so I will be using his talents too!

Also, thanks to the blogs I follow, I have discovered some wonderful artists and crafters….so I will be purchasing as much as I can from them – and not the big box stores.

  17. Sheila says

I’ll be buying most of my presents this year, but I do hope to have time to make some knitted bead earrings for a few people.

  18. Krystal L. says

I am doing a bit of both this year. Mixing it up. I’m already working on a blanket for my new cousin that was born in August. Such a cutie! Crocheting it up today! :)

  20. Sherry says

Typically, I’ve made many Christmas gifts but this year I’m taking the easy route and buying them. Time to give myself a break.

  21. Renee G says

I will be doing a combination of making and buying this year.

  22. Serah says

I’ll be buying some. But mostly I’ll be making Christmas gifts myself as I have been doing for the last two years.

  23. Rebecca says

i plan on making pretty much all my gifts this year, am on a uber tight budget so i plan on stash busting like no other:)

  24. Jessica Lucas says

I’m planning to make and buy Christmas presents that I’m giving. I like giving and receiving handmade gifts so much more than most store bought gifts, but I just don’t have the time to make them all.

  25. Kellie Conklin says

I usually do a little bit of both! I make what I can (such as hooded towels for the kids I sit for or tote bags) and I buy some items as well. It usually comes down to the person :) Thanks!
