Hi friends! It’s that time of year – time to break out the hot cocoa and Santa mugs! It’s my most favorite time of year and I actually have a nightly routine of drinking a little hot cocoa to end the day. Nothing like a sweet little treat to look forward to, right? Now sometimes I have an extra special version, like our Cinna-Sugar Hot Chocolate – but most of the time it’s made from my family’s favorite Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix!
Now we have Grandma (my mom) to thank for this one! And since baking treats for her is one of her favorite things to do – you’ll be seeing and hearing from her more and more here on A Night Owl. Because you know our Grandma’s are night owls too! Seriously, my mom still works full time and still gets it all done. She’s a fabulous role model and still takes care of me to this day. Great moms are just one of a kind and I’m super blessed to have such an amazing woman in my life.
But back to this yummy hot cocoa mix that graces my countertops this time of year. Yup, a BIG OLE batch of it, ready for me to make my nightly cup of motivation (to keep blogging, yes…I need it haha). Want to make your own? It’s GREAT for your hot chocolate loving family or even better to give away in big portions as gifts! Here ya go…

Hi Jodie, it was a typo! So sorry for the mistake! 🙂 It is 1/4 cup cocoa mix, or 4 Tbsp. Hope that helps! Thank you for calling that out!
