Crafts/DIY· Shark Week

Hi friends! Today we’re sharing the CUTEST DIY Shark Mittens. But first, I have a confession. Though I am an avid crafter, I rarely do crafts with my boys. Blasphemy? Perhaps. Sad? Certainly! Do I know why? No, I’m not sure. Perhaps it’s because I work a full 40+ hour work week and my boys are in daycare, and when…

Gotham just got a whole lot creepier. 😳🦇 CLAYFACE Gotham just got a whole lot creepier. 😳🦇 CLAYFACE takes us into the darker, grittier side of the DC Universe, and WOW, what a ride!

The story follows rising actor Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), whose life takes a horrifying turn when he’s brutally disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his career, he turns to an experimental treatment that transforms him into something far more terrifying.

First, the cast was FANTASTIC. Tom Rhys Harries absolutely delivered, bringing so much depth to a character whose desperation and motivations you genuinely understand. The supporting cast was equally impressive, and I loved how quickly the film established each character’s backstory without dragging things out. You understand who these people are, what drives them, and why their decisions matter.

And here’s something I really appreciated: You don’t need to know ANYTHING about the comics to enjoy this movie! Whether you’re a longtime DC fan or completely new to the character, the storytelling makes everything easy to follow while still giving you a fascinating look into the darker side of Gotham.

Now, let’s talk about the creepy factor. 👀 This isn’t your typical jump-scare horror movie, but it IS graphic. There’s plenty of violence and gore, and while the filmmakers don’t dwell on it unnecessarily, they certainly don’t shy away from showing it. Be prepared!

Overall, CLAYFACE was a fantastic watch. Great performances, compelling characters, excellent pacing, and a story that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Definitely one I’d recommend!

⚠️ PARENTS: This one earns its R rating! CLAYFACE is Rated R for strong bloody violence, gore, language, some nudity, and brief drug use. There’s quite a bit of graphic content, so definitely leave the kids at home for this one.

🎬🍿 CLAYFACE in theaters October 23rd!

HOLD YOUR BREATH. 🐋😳 And I’m not kidding. You migh HOLD YOUR BREATH. 🐋😳 And I’m not kidding. You might actually forget to breathe during this movie!

Thank you to our friends at @20thcenturystudios @imagineentertainment and @alliedglobalmarketing for the chance to screen WHALEFALL early!

I’ll admit, this isn’t typically the kind of movie I gravitate toward. But my niece @josie_bagley and I had a free night, so we figured, why not? And WOW. I was NOT expecting what we got.

I went in knowing very little, and I think that’s exactly how you should experience this one. Sure, you know a guy gets swallowed by a whale, but trust me, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The suspense? INSANE. The anxiety? THROUGH THE ROOF. 😅 I was literally holding my breath, gripping my seat, and grabbing Josie next to me because I was so freaked out!

But what really caught me off guard was the emotional depth. Woven into all that heart-pounding survival is a complicated family dynamic that brings so much heart, reflection, and ultimately, closure. I never expected a movie that had me on the edge of my seat one minute to have me fighting back tears the next. 🥹

Huge kudos to the cast and creative team for delivering something so intense, emotional, and memorable!

Parents, WHALEFALL is Rated PG-13 for peril, violent content, bloody images, some strong language, and thematic content. Definitely one for teens and older, so leave the little ones at home.

🐋 WHALEFALL is IN THEATERS NOW! 🎬🍿

Cheers to 85 years, @dickeysbarbecuepit! 🎉🍖 The b Cheers to 85 years, @dickeysbarbecuepit! 🎉🍖

The boys and I headed to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Phoenix this week to celebrate their 85th anniversary with some seriously delicious BBQ!

We tried the 1941 Party Pack, featuring a pound of their award-winning slow-smoked pulled pork, buttery Texas toast and a large side of BBQ beans. And because we came hungry, we added brisket, hand-cut fries, potato salad, Big Yellow Cups and slices of pecan pie!
It was a hit across the board! We can definitely see why that pulled pork is award-winning, and the boys were BIG fans of the buttery Texas toast. 😋

🎉 THE ANNIVERSARY DEAL: To celebrate 85 years, Dickey’s is offering its 1941 Party Pack for just $19.41 throughout October!

You can grab the deal in-store or find it under the DEALS section when ordering on Dickeys.com or through the Dickey’s app.

Love it or hate it, you’re going to FEEL something Love it or hate it, you’re going to FEEL something. And boy, were they right.🪏🎬

This one wasn’t an early screener! We actually paid for our own tickets to see @diggerthemovie because we were genuinely curious. Between the disappointing box office numbers, negative critic reviews, surprisingly positive audience scores, and buzz from people whose opinions I trust, I needed to know what was going on with this movie.

And now? I get it. ALL of it.

First, I understand the lack of awareness surrounding this film. This is a movie you absolutely want to go into knowing as little as possible. The less you know, the better. But how do you market a movie you can’t really talk about without ruining the experience? How do you convince people to see something when you can’t explain WHY they should see it?

So here’s what I CAN tell you.

Tom Cruise delivers what might be the most masterful performance of his career. The Parliament scene alone is Oscar-worthy. Absolutely phenomenal.

The cinematography is GORGEOUS. The sets are stunning, layered with so much detail, and the entire production feels meticulously crafted. The supporting cast is brilliant, too, particularly John Goodman and Riz Ahmed.

But here’s where things get complicated.

This movie is uncomfortable, unsettling, and leaves you a little creeped out, a little depressed, and with a LOT to think about. It’s the kind of film that lingers in your head for days, maybe even weeks. And with all that nuance, it’s hard to simply say you loved it.

But isn’t that what great filmmaking can do? Make you FEEL something? Make you THINK?

I understand the divided reactions now, but I also think this is a movie you NEED to experience for yourself.

Go in blind. Form your own opinion. And then come back because I need to know what you thought. 👀🍿
