Hi friends! If you didn’t know by now, we’re pretty excited about the launch of Monsters University at our house! A couple weeks ago we shared out little Monsters U party where we made Mike and Sulley Popsicles while watching the first Monsters, Inc. movie. That weekend we then went to see the movie, the boys all decked out in their Monsters U attire! Well now the Monsters University DVD is available for Pre-Order!
Why do you want to buy the movie now? Well first of all the movie is fantastic, and if you’re anything like me, you’re going to buy it later on anyhow because you have to have all of the Disney DVDs in your home! Also, ordering it now locks you in at a great price and ensures you get first dibs! But in addition to the movie when it is released, the DVD pre-order box will contain a coupon for $1.50 off Juicy Juice as well as $8 in Movie Cash. The Movie Cash can be used to see Monsters University or any other Disney movie currently in theater like the Lone Ranger or Planes, which comes out next month! Pre-order perks also include being able to see Disney sneak peaks on vudu.com.
And to continue the Monsters University celebration in our home I went to Walmart this week to purchase the Pre-Order pack! You can see my shopping trip in my Google+ Album. I also put together my first DIY Piñata – a Mike Wazowski Piñata! Want to see how to make your own?
What you’ll need:
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Tape
- Streamers
- Hot glue
- String
- Paper (for the eye)
And the steps:
- Cut out two large circles from the cardboard.
- Cut long strips out of cardboard that will cover the circumference edge of the large circles.
- Tape the strips around the cardboard circles to make piñata base.
- Make fringe out of streamers by cutting slits at the bottom.
- Cover cardboard piñata by gluing layers of fringe.
- Cut out three circles, white, blue and black for the eye.
- Glue together and attach to piñata.
- Add string for hanging and you’re done!
I think he turned out so cute, what do you think?
Ok enough of that Monsters fun – or is it! Be sure to head down to your local Walmart today and pre-order your copy of Monsters University! For more information be sure to check out Monsters University, Disney Pixar on Twitter and Facebook, and Vudu.com! check out Keep calm and scare on my friends!
