Easy grinch crinkle cookies
Hi friends! Are you a Grinch this holiday season? Or maybe just a fan of the movie like our family? These Grinch Crinkle Cookies are fun to make and fun to eat. Whip up a batch for you and your family to have a movie night watching what else? The Grinch! But I have to know which version is your favorite? The new animated is cute, and the classic is, well, classic but I’ve always been partial to the Jim Carrey version he’s just so darn funny in it.
Ingredients for grinch crinkle cookies
Christmas cookies don’t get much easier than this!
- White cake mix
- Vegetable oil
- Eggs
- Red and green gel food coloring
- White sanding sugar
How to Make grinch crinkle cookies
Preheat your oven to 350º F. Using a standing mixer, combine your cake mix, vegetable oil, and 2 eggs. Divide the batter into two separate bowls. Mix red food coloring into one bow and mix green food coloring into the second bowl. Take about 2 tbsp of the green colored dough and 1 tbsp of the red colored dough and form into small sized balls. Pour the sanding sugar into a bowl and roll cookie dough into the sanding sugar.
Place cookie dough balls about 2 inches apart on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Lightly push each cookie dough ball down so that it becomes a thick but flat disk. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes. Allow cookies to completely cool before enjoying!
Tools Used to make this Recipe:
- Kitchenaid Stand Mixer: Have it, love it. This is the best tool if you like to do any baking.
- Baking Pan: I’m a big fan of Wilton products for baking and this jumbo baking sheet doesn’t disappoint.
- Parchment Paper: if you aren’t already using this get you some! It’s so nice to have a non-stick surface that you can make a mess on and then toss!
