Inspired By Black Tap Freakshakes, whip up this fun Marvel Black Panther Freakshake, perfect for Disney+ movie nights or celebrating the opening of the Avengers Campus at Disneyland!
Marvel Black Panther FREAKSHAKE
Hi friends! Have you heard of Black Tap Freakshakes? Basically made popular via viral social media, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer whip up some of the freakiest milkshakes around, complete with candy, cakes, cookies and more! We’ve created a few freakshakes here on the blog because well, they’re just so much fun. And with Avengers Campus opening at Disneyland this month, a new Black Panther series coming to Disney+ and Black Panther 2 that starts filming this year, I figured it was a great time to feature my boys’ favorite superhero!
Black Panther FREAKSHAKE Ingredients
- Rice crispy treats
- Black candy melts
- White candy melts
- Black Panther decal (printed)
- Cookies & Cream ice cream
- Oreos
- Milk
- Ice
- White frosting or icing
- Whipped cream
- Black rock candy
How to Make a Black Panther FREAKSHAKE
The most tedious part of this freakshake is the Black Panther decal made of rice crispy treats and candy melts. To make this, I whipped up a quick half-batch of crispy treats, and used a circle cookie cutter to cut out a circle shape. I then dipped this into melted white candy melts to coat the top.
I measured the size of the crispy treat and printed out a Black Panther decal the same size for detailing. I placed a piece of parchment paper over the print out to create the circle detail around the edge and the Black Panther head piece with melted black candy melts in a piping bag. I placed both in the freezer to set.
Once they were solid, I used white candy melts in a piping bag to add white detailing on the head piece, then used the same candy melts to “glue” the circle edge and face plate to the front of the rice crispy treat.
The base milkshake is pretty basic, three scoops of cookies & cream ice cream, 5 Oreos (I wanted the shake to be “cookie heavy” and darker than regular cookies & cream), a cup of milk and a handful of ice. You may have to adjust milk and ice a bit depending on your blender. Simply blend these ingredients until you have a thick milkshake consistency.
While you’re whipping up the milkshake, coat the outer top of your milkshake glass with white icing then roll in crushed Oreos! Once you have good coverage, place the cup into the refrigerator for a minute to harden.
Once the icing has hardened, pour the finished milkshake into your cup, add your Black Panther rice crispy decal (I anchored the crispy treat with a candy stick inserted into the treat), the black rock candy, top with whipped cream and pop in a couple of straws and there you have it!
A milkshake FIT for the King of Wakanda…
Tools Used to make this Recipe:
- Vitamix Blender: I recently upgraded to Vitamix and I am SOLD! If it’s out of your budget, we used this Ninja Blender for years and it was great for milkshakes.
- Milkshake Cups: the Black Tap lookalikes don’t appear to be available anymore, but these cute milkshake cups will do the trick!
- Black Panther Costume: No Marvel milkshake is complete without a costume!

Ingredients
- 3 cups Rice crispy cereal
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 cups Mini marshmallows
- 1 cup Black candy melts
- 1 cup White candy melts
- 1 Black Panther decal printed
- 3 scoops Cookies & Cream ice cream
- 8 Oreos divided
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 handful Ice
- 2 tbsp White frosting or icing
- 1 serving Whipped cream
- 2 rods Black rock candy
Instructions
Black Panther Rice Crispy Treat
-
Make a half-batch of rice crispy treats: heat 2 cups of mini marshmallows and 2 tbsp of butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Stir to combine and add 3 cups of rice crispies. Add rice crispy mixture to greased 8x8 pan and press down to condense (you'll want these to be denser than typical rice crispy treats).
-
Now use a circle cookie cutter to cut out a circle shape from the rice crispies. Dip this into melted white candy melts to coat the top.
-
Measure the size of the crispy treat and print out a Black Panther decal the same size for detailing. Place a piece of parchment paper over the print out to create the circle detail around the edge and the Black Panther head piece with melted black candy melts in a piping bag. I placed both in the freezer to set.
-
Once they are solid, use melted white candy melts in a piping bag to add white detailing on the head piece, then use the same candy melts to "glue" the circle edge and face plate to the front of the rice crispy treat.
Milkshake
-
Add three scoops of cookies & cream ice cream, 5 Oreos, a cup of milk and a handful of ice to your blender and blend until combined. You may have to adjust milk and ice a bit depending on your blender.
Assembly
-
Coat the outer top of your milkshake glass with white icing then roll in crushed Oreos. Once you have good coverage, place the cup into the refrigerator for a minute to harden.
-
Once the icing has hardened, pour the finished milkshake into your cup, add your Black Panther rice crispy decal (I anchored the crispy treat with a candy stick inserted into the treat), the black rock candy, top with whipped cream and pop in a couple of straws to enjoy.
So fun! I think I need to make one with Infinity Stones made out of gumdrops.
Ok that is such a cute idea!
