Black Panther on Digital
Hi friends! IT’S HERE! The day my family has been waiting for…Black Panther has been released on Digital! If you haven’t seen it yet, run over to Amazon QUICK and download it now! It’s by far my favorite Marvel movie to date (and yes, I’ve seen Avengers: Infinity War), my family saw it multiple times in theaters and I have no doubt that we’ll watch it multiple times this week on Digital. Now if you’re more of a classic DVD or Blu-Ray kind of person, no worries! Black Panther on Blu-Ray comes out next week, May 15th! My boys are so excited that we’re celebrating with some fun Black Panther Crafts, Activities and Treats! First up, my husband Andre came up with the brilliant idea of making our own DIY Kimoyo Beads!
Black Panther DIY Kimoyo Beads
Kimoyo Beads are a piece of advanced communication technology developed and used in the technologically advanced nation of Wakanda. If you’ve seen the movie, then you should recall there were a number of times that Black Panther and Shuri used the beads to communicate, control T’Challa’s Royal Talon Fighter and more. While you can Buy Disney Black Panther Kimoyo Bead Glass Bracelet by RockLove if you’re not the crafty type, it’s also the perfect craft and project for the kids! We’ll walk you through the quick and easy steps.
How to Make Black Panther Kimoyo Beads
First head down to your local craft store – we found everything we needed at our favorite Michaels Stores location! You’ll need: black beads, stretch magic bead & jewelry cord and a white and blue oil-based extra fine paint marker. You can also grab Sharpies, but make sure they are oil-based for durability.
With your white marker, simply add the Kimoyo Bead designs to each bead. We used images of the beads we found on Google to get an idea of what to draw on each bead. You can add a couple of designs around each bead so that you can see them no matter if the bead turns on the wrist.
At this point, if your beads aren’t already in the shape of a bracelet or you need to shorten it like we did for one of our boys, simply measure how long you need the bracelet to be, string your stretch magic cording through the beads and tie to close. Easy peasy!
Once you’re done adding your designs in white and the bracelets are the appropriate size, use your blue marker to add a large blue dot. This will represent the blue prime bead, which holds a lifetime of knowledge. When that is dry, add a white circle around the blue dot and you’re good to go!
And there you have it! In just a few easy steps, you have your very own DIY Black Panther Kimoyo Beads!
My boys were so excited to wear them…Wakanda Forever!
