Best Restaurants in Las Vegas

Hi friends! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my husband and I are big fans of Las Vegas. We live in Phoenix, so it’s just a few hours drive or a quick 45 minute flight from home and it’s just full of food and fun, which makes every vacation even that much better. I wish I could give you a broad overview of where to stay; but honestly when we go it’s never about budget or trying new places (except for food) because we LOVE to stay at the Bellagio. A few years ago my hubs surprised me with a huge Penthouse Suite with a Strip view and that was it. He ruined me for any other hotel or room. So every year we go back and do the same.

Las Vegas Restaurants

But one thing I love to vary each time we go is to try new places to eat! Vegas is FILLED with amazing eats and drinks and while this is by no way an extensive or all inclusive list, I am going to share with you OUR Must Eat Vegas list from our visits over the past few years. So here it goes!

Mon Ami Gabi

YOU GUYS. Most of the time my husband and I try new spots and restaurants but honestly, this is one we always come back to, which is why it’s first on the list. Since we stay at the Bellagio, Mon Ami Gabi at the entrance of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel is a convenient stroll across the street. But unlike most restaurants connected to hotels, Mon Ami Gabi is not run by Paris so I feel like you get a little more bang for your buck there. I always opt for sweet dishes like the Bananas Foster Waffles, but my husband always gets the savory like the Grilled Prime Steak & Eggs Platter. You can’t go wrong with either! And a pro tip? Order some vanilla bean whipped cream on the side and add it to your coffee for a sweet, creamy sip.

Eggslut

Since we’re on the subject of good breakfasts, nearby at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, you MUST stop by for an egg sandwich at Eggslut. Now it’s a busy place and you might see a line around the corner but let me tell you, since the menu is short and simple, they move through the line quickly and the end result is definitely worth the wait! Also, there are not many places to cop a squat, so either get your sammie to go or lurk over a nearby eater to snag the next spot.

Holsteins Shakes and Buns

Now for this stop we’re going to stay in the Cosmopolitan and talk about a great spot for dinner, Holstein’s Shakes and Buns! First of all this place is fun and modern, and they start out your meal with complimentary seasoned popcorn…that’s a win in my book. But then to add to it, they have an amazing selection of delicious “Buns” or burgers and to top that off FREAK SHAKES! Seriously, their shakes are so much fun (oh, and boozy too). Gotta love Vegas. I ordered the Cookies & Cream, which is pinnacle whipped cream vodka, oreo & chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, dark & white chocolate crunchies, vanilla frosting, oreo crumbs. Oh em gee, right? And yes, I started with dessert for this meal.

Yardbird Southern Table and Bar

Now depending on where you’re staying, you might have to venture out for this one like we did. But let me tell you Yardbird was well worth the Uber ride! Nestled within the gorgeous Venetian Hotel, Yardbird is true farm-to-table Southern cooking. The test? Andre ordered Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken and it passed with flying colors! We started with what might be the best Deviled Eggs I’ve ever had. Then I ordered Crispy Chicken Biscuits and a side of Macaroni and Cheese, because duh. It was perfection. The Cornbread Skillet is also worth a try, thankfully we had a table next to us that were so kind to share theirs with us (it’s a good sized portion)! And the crowning jewel? The Honey Hot Sauce. It’s served warm with your meal and yes, you’ll want to put that sh*t on everything.

Gordon Ramsay Fish-N-Chips

Ohhh how I love me some good fish and chips, how about you? I’m always skeptical, but can I tell you that the fish and chips from Gordon Ramsay Fish-N-Chips were the BEST I have ever had? And I’ve tried a lot. Gordon would be so proud! Not to mention that the little shop is located in The LINQ Promenade, which just happens to be my NEW favorite spot on the Strip! I mean it’s so fun and vibrant during the day, then the walkway lights up under strung lights at night, ahhh. I just love it! But back to the fish, seriously fresh and crispy and Gordon’s Tartar Sauce is just a dream. I need the recipe!

Sprinkles Cupcakes

Now while you’re brunching at Gordon’s for some fish & chips, go ahead and stop by Sprinkles at The LINQ Promenade on your way out and grab yourself a cupcake! Now I always try a different one, but this one happened to be “V” for a vegan Red Velvet cuppie so I could share with my hubs. Aren’t I sweet? These are sweet too, get you one!

Hexx Kitchen + Bar

Now this one was a lucky surprise for us! We were out and about one morning seeking out a brunch spot and happened upon Hexx. It’s in front of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and from the front, has a great view of the Bellagio fountains across the street. First of all, two words: Bottomless Mimosas. Now that’s bound to rocket any restaurant to the top of my list but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the food too! Andre got Steak and Eggs and I ordered the Hexx Benedict, a slight twist on the classic with poached eggs, scalloped potatoes, canadian bacon, asparagus and hollandaise. It was delicious! I would definitely return and recommend!

Prime Steakhouse

Now we always like to pick a good steakhouse for our actual anniversary dinner and one year it was Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio. It’s very elegant, a spot you’ll want to dress for. They sat us at a waterside table so we could see the Bellagio fountains AT water level. It was amazing. And you know what? The food was too! It’s a bit on the pricey side, but if you have something to celebrate, we highly recommend!

Ruth’s Chris

Ok, I know you can get Ruth’s Chris just about in any city but I have a SOFT spot for this restaurant and I have to say that the Strip view doesn’t hurt! Inside of Harrah’s Casino, you head up an elevator and ask for a window seat and you’ll be surrounded by the lights of Vegas while you enjoy your perfect steak and amazing sides. I know we’ll be back!

Bellagio Brunch Buffet

Ok, you know we had to bring this up because we stay at the Bellagio every year, but each year we HAVE to make a stop at the the buffet at least once! Now this is a testament to how GOOD the Bellagio Buffet is because truth be told I am NOT a buffet kind of gal. I’m typically not able to eat huge portions of food so buffets always seem a bit of a waste to me and sometimes I’m paralyzed with too many options. BUT this one is an exception…there are so many things I love to try and I love the Bellagio mini waffles that make me feel like I’m dining at Disney (and you know I love that).
