In a large bowl, beat sugar and egg together until creamy and light-colored.

Add oil, milk, and vanilla and mix well.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 tsp cinnamon.

Slowly add flour mixture into egg mixture until well combined.

Pour batter into greased donut maker or donut pan.

If using a donut pan, bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Combine 1 tablespoon and 1/2 cup super fine sugar.

Once donuts are fully baked, remove from maker or pan, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
