Vanilla Chai Tea Latte
Hi friends! Did you know that January is Hot Tea Month? There’s nothing quite like a warm, calming tea to usher in fresh, new beginnings. My husband is a huge black tea drinker, but I like my tea a little spicy. So today I’m sharing my favorite way to drink tea, a delicious Chai Tea Latte sweetened with Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup!
Torani Sugar Free Syrups
Torani Sugar Free Syrups are made with simple and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. They are sweetened with Splenda so you’ll enjoy all of that amazing flavor with none of the sugar. We use Torani syrups daily in our home and usually the Sugar Free ones! They’re so yummy with no weird aftertaste, it’s a great way to add flavor to your favorite drinks. And the good news: you can find most Torani Sugar Free Syrups at a Walmart near you!
Vanilla Chai Latte Ingredients
- Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup
- Black tea bags
- Cinnamon sticks
- Whole black peppercorns
- Whole cloves
- Star anise
- Fresh ginger
- Water
- Milk
- Ground cinnamon
How to Make a Vanilla Chai Latte
Add two black tea bags, cinnamon sticks, peppercorns, whole cloves, star anise and fresh ginger to a medium saucepan. Cover with two cups of water and over medium-high heat, bring contents to a boil. Boil tea and spices for 5 minutes.
While the tea is on the stove, heat a cup of milk until warmed through. Using a frother (or shaking the warm milk in a mason jar), whip milk until frothy.
Once the tea is done, strain into your favorite glass or mug. Add two tablespoons of Torani Sugar Free Vanilla syrup to your glass.
Top your sweetened tea with frothy milk and top with a pinch of ground cinnamon. Enjoy!
Chai Tea Substitutes
Now if you don’t have all of the fresh and whole spices on hand, you can always opt for using pre-made Chai Tea bags (I would double the amount of tea bags called for). Or you can substitute with dry, ground spices: for one serving I would use 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger and 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice.
