{Thrifty Thursday} A Chalkboard Serving Tray

Home· Thrifty

Hi friends! Welcome to another installation of Thrifty Thursday! Once again I’ll be sharing with you a thrifty find that I have upcycled into something fun, and today it’s a chalkboard serving tray. I picked up this cute little silver tray from my local Goodwill a couple of months ago. It had quite a bit of wear, but at just…

{Thrifty Thursday} A Little Stand

Hi all! I hope that you’ve had a fantastic week so far…mine has primarily been spent recovering from my 3 year old’s birthday party on Sunday. So not much in the way of crafting, creating, or thrifting this week. However, I do want to share a local Goodwill find with you and try to gather some thoughts and feedback! I…

{Thrifty Thursday} Vintage Milk Glass Spring Vignette

Spring· Thrifty

Well like I did last week with my Easter Mantel, I’m going to again show you what I have done with my local Goodwill thrifty finds versus just showing you what I bought! Isn’t that more fun? I’m certainly having a little more fun with it! This week I’m sharing with you my vintage milk glass collection I’ve acquired over…

{Thrifty Thursday} An Easter Mantel

Easter· Mantel· Thrifty

This week I’m doing something a little different for Thrifty Thursday. Why? Because I just finished updating my mantel for Easter and I need to get it posted (Easter will be here and gone before you know it!), and also because some of the key pieces were “thrifted” from my local Goodwill! The main thrifted upcycle of this mantel are…

Truth. Justice. Whatever. šŸ’« Thanks to our friends Truth. Justice. Whatever. šŸ’« Thanks to our friends at @dcofficial and @alliedglobalmarketing, we had the chance to screen @Supergirl early and found it to be a fun summer adventure for superhero fans!

As the second installment in James Gunn’s new DC Universe, Supergirl doesn’t quite soar to the same heights as last summer’s Superman, but Milly Alcock delivers a strong and compelling performance as Kara Zor-El. Jason Momoa is clearly having a blast as Lobo, bringing plenty of humor and entertainment to every scene he’s in.

At its core, this is a cosmic story of vengeance, justice, and finding your place in the universe. While it may not redefine the superhero genre, it’s an enjoyable, action-packed ride that families and comic book fans alike will have fun with.

Parents, this one is rated PG-13 for sequences of strong violence, action, language, and smoking.

Grab your capes and make it a family movie night when Supergirl lands in theaters June 26th! šŸæ

Two things can be true. Today, I’m so happy to cel Two things can be true. Today, I’m so happy to celebrate my husband, our anniversary, and Father’s Day with the father of my children. But I also miss my dad dearly.

I can’t believe it’s been five years without you. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you.

You were the best dad—steady, strong, and so incredibly smart. I always knew you were there for me. You taught me to be strong, independent, and to trust in God. You led by example, and the lessons you gave me continue to guide my life every single day.

I miss you so much, Dad, and I carry your love and your example with me always.

Love you forever. šŸ¤

He’s handsome, steady, strong, and the heart of our family. Quite honestly, we just don’t work without him.

But before he was a dad, he was my husband. Today is extra special because Father’s Day also happens to be our 18th Wedding Anniversary!

I’ve said it so many times, but Andre, I’m so glad we met 19 years ago. You’re truly the only person on this planet I could ever picture doing this life with. Through every season, every adventure, and every challenge, I’d choose you again and again. Forever. šŸ˜‰

Happy Father’s Day and Happy Anniversary, @anightowldad!

On June 19th, the battle for playtime begins. šŸ¤ šŸš€ T On June 19th, the battle for playtime begins. šŸ¤ šŸš€ Thanks to our friends at @disneystudios, @pixar, and @alliedglobalmarketing, we had the chance to screen Toy Story 5 early and it seems the toys still have a few lessons to teach us.

Toy Story 5 proves that this beloved franchise still has plenty of magic left, continuing to deliver decade after decade. Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang return for a timely faceoff between toys and technology, tackling an issue that many families are navigating today. In an age of screens, tech, and AI, the film thoughtfully explores not only what’s best for kids, but also the importance of real-world connections and friendships built around shared interests.

What makes the story work so well is that it approaches these challenges with nuance, never painting technology or traditional play as wholly right or wrong. Packed with heart, humor, and relatable family moments, Toy Story 5 is another worthy chapter in a truly remarkable series.

Definitely worth seeing on the big screen—grab your family, grab your toys, grab your tickets, and make it a movie night when Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters this weekend! šŸæšŸŽ¬
