{Thrifty Thursday} An IKEA Desk Makeover

Thrifty

I purchased an IKEA desk sometime ago and had visions of what I wanted it to look like dancing in my head. I decided on diagonal lines and wanted a pop of color. So on the black brown surface I thought that yellow would look good…it ended up looking like a construction traffic sign. Oops! Lesson learned. So I stripped…

{Thifty Thursday} A Fall Frame

Fall· Thrifty

A few months ago I posted about some of my weekly local Arizona Goodwill thrift findings. Among that group of items was a gold wooden frame I picked up for just $2.99! Back then I had thoughts of painting the frame and making it into a wreath; however, I’ve since had a change of heart. I actually really love the…

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pumpkins

Crafts· Fall· Thanksgiving

I love all of the dollar store pumpkin makeovers I’ve been seeing across blogland! And today I have another one to add to the line-up: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pumpkins! Have you heard of Annie Sloan? I’ve been wanting to use her chalk paint on many different projects for some time now, and I finally made a couple of trips…

{Project Home} DIY Dollar Store Fall Garland

Fall· Home

In the next installment of the great Fall update, I grabbed a bag of Fall leaves from my local Dollar Tree and decided to make a quick and easy Fall garland! I simply lined up the leaves, red and green alternating, used a small piece of tape to hold them together for the time being, and sewed a simple stitch…

This is the way. 💚 Thanks to our friends at @disne This is the way. 💚 Thanks to our friends at @disneystudios, @starwars, and @alliedglobalmarketing for the opportunity to attend an early screening of #MandalorianAndGrogu and we had such a fun time with this one!

Fans of The Mandalorian are going to love seeing Mando back in action. It delivers plenty of the adventure, heart, and grit we’ve come to expect, while Grogu once again steals scenes with his adorable charm and perfectly timed humor. Their dynamic is still just as strong and honestly one of the best parts of the story.

The world building was also a standout. From new planets to creatures, aliens, and monsters we’ve never seen before, it really expands the Star Wars universe in a way that feels fresh while still staying true to the tone of the Disney+ series. If you loved the action and feel of The Mandalorian, this is very much on par with what you’d expect.

Parents, this one is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and action.

All in all, we’d say go see it. Whether you’re a longtime Star Wars fan or just love Mando and Grogu, this one is worth the trip to the theater. 🌌✨

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, bonus moms, an Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, bonus moms, and mother figures out there today! 💐

I’m so thankful for the boys who made me a mom and for this beautiful, messy, love-filled life we share. Even while facing obstacles, I’m deeply grateful for all we have—especially the family that keeps me laughing through it all.

Two things can be true at once: I can feel incredibly thankful for where I am and all I have, while still grieving what I’ve lost. Today, I’m especially wishing I could celebrate with my mom and missing her dearly. 🤍

A baa-rilliant whodunit for the whole family. 🐏🧐 T A baa-rilliant whodunit for the whole family. 🐏🧐 Thanks to our friends at @amazonmgmstudios and @moviesmorefun we had the opportunity to screen @thesheepdetectives early and we really enjoyed it!

The Sheep Detectives is seriously the kind of fun family film we haven’t gotten in a while. The sheep are endlessly entertaining, the cast is perfection across the board, and the whole movie gives off playful Clue-style whodunit vibes that keep everyone guessing. It’s charming, funny, and the perfect pick for a family movie night.

Parents, this one is Rated PG for thematic material, some violent content and brief language.

Round up the whole family and catch the mystery on the big screen—The Sheep Detectives is in theaters May 8th! 🐑🔎🍿
