Hi friends! Easter is just around the corner and we were so lucky to be able to team up with World Market again this holiday for everything you need for your Easter celebration. From setting the menu and your table to what you’ll wear and what to bring, we have you covered! Today we’re going to go over a few tips for building the perfect Easter basket, for the kiddos AND for families or a host. First and foremost, when shopping for Easter and gift baskets, get yourself down to a World Market! They have everything you need in their Easter Shop from Easter Baskets to fillers to the goodies that everyone will want to receive!
TIPS TO BUILDING PERFECT EASTER BASKETS
PICK YOUR THEME
From the outset, you’re going to want to pick a theme and get inspired! There are many ways you could go about this – I always like to think of the recipient first and foremost. What are things that they like or enjoy? For the kids, if you’re buying for a little girl who likes bunnies, that would make a great theme! Or for an adult who lives off of coffee, THAT would make a great theme! Themes could even go beyond something that your recipient likes to a specific color scheme. Anything that “ties” the basket together.
PICK COORDINATING ITEMS
Now that you have your theme, you’ll want to select your coordinating items. For our little bunny basket we chose these adorable bunny ears and delicious HOP candy from World Market. We not only chose the bunny theme, but kept the colors coordinated throughout for a more cohesive package. Or for our coffee gift here, what better than a good bag of World Market Vanilla Bean Coffee paired with one of my favorite Good Morning Mugs! Toss in a book about donuts and you’ve rounded out the breakfast experience. Now you have a fun theme that is supported by great coordinating items.
PICK YOUR CONTAINER
Now that you have your theme and goodies that go in your basket – you need to SELECT your basket! There are so many shapes and styles to choose from, you just want to be sure that your container is big enough to hold all your goodies, while not TOO BIG that your items get lost. I love these little woven baskets that are perfectly cute and sweet for the kids.
Or one of my favorite Charlotte lined wire baskets that are not only great for holding your gift items, but can be easily used again for organization! I love gifts that have double uses.
ASSEMBLE THE BASKET
Lastly, you’re going to want to gather all your goodies and assemble your basket. Grab a good filler from World Market, there are a ton of choices! Line the bottom of your basket with filler and strategically arrange your items. Don’t be afraid to do a little swapping around until you’re happy with the result. Once you are, fill in gaps with more filler and if you’d like, wrap it all in cellophane or tie with a bow and you’re ready to go!
