Hi friends! Do you have little fans of the movie Frozen? Yah, we do too! No matter how much time passes, Frozen “fever” continues to run at an all time high! I have nieces who love the movie and they just moved into a NEW house with a room all to themselves! I wanted to create a little artwork for their new space that was a little more grown up since they’re in the pre-teen range. So when I was shopping the amazing Frozen Bundle in the Cricut Design Shop I came across the sweetest Anna and Elsa silhouettes and I just KNEW these would make the most amazing and Easy Frozen Silhouttes for their wall!
Michaels recently released a brand new Cricut – the Cricut Explore One, which I used to create this fun Frozen-inspired project. The machine comes with the free Cricut Design Space software that allows you to cut printable images, upload your own images and fonts, and has 25+ free 1-click projects and 50+ free images built in. These cartridges paired with the Cricut Explore One is ideal for cards, party decorations, wall decals and even home décor!
I found these sweet little chalkboard plaques at my local Michaels in their Raw Bar area. Aren’t they amazing?! They’re perfect for the silhouettes and already have the darling “chalk” design around the border. I grabbed some white vinyl and mod podge for sealing the project (which is optional) and headed home to get to creating!
I pulled up the Anna silhouette first in my Cricut Design space and sized it to fit the chalkboard perfectly. Then I cut and applied my white vinyl to the mat.
Next, I loaded the mat into the Cricut Explore One, followed the easy instructions on my computer that told me to set my Cricut to Vinyl and hit go!
Just moments later my Anna silhouette was cut and ready for application!
Then I repeated these same EASY steps to create our Elsa silhouette!
I’m so pleased with how these SWEET Frozen Silhouettes turned out! Really a simple afternoon project that you can put together for your Frozen loving fans as well. I can’t wait to create some Frozen bundle projects for my boys too. I see Olaf in our future…
These are so cute and would be perfect in a little girls room. I don’t know any girl (moms included) that don’t love the movie Frozen. Love it 🙂
Of course my daughter would just DIE if she saw these! I love how they turned out on the chalkboard plaques. The new raw bar area gets me every time!
