How to Make Indoor S’mores

Hi friends! Did you know that National S’mores Day is Monday, August 10th? We’re HUGE fans of all things S’mores, so you’d better believe we’ll be participating. But did you know that you don’t have to go camping outdoors to enjoy your favorite campfire treat?! That’s right – today we’re going to share our tips on How to Make Indoor S’mores.

Honey Maid, Hershey’s and Jet-Puffed are sharing the many ways s’mores can be prepared, including in the microwave, in the oven and on the grill. Our favorite way is in the oven! First you need the essential S’mores ingredients: Honey Maid Graham Crackers, Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars! There’s nothing like these tried and true classics – amazing s’mores every time! Then grab a cookie pan and line it with aluminum foil. Add a graham cracker, top it with a chocolate bar of similar size (we like A LOT of chocolate on ours) and a marshmallow!

Then stick your pan of chocolate bar and marshmallow-topped grahams into the oven and broil on high for just a minute or so! If you like your S’mores marshmallows to be REALLY toasty, just stand by and monitor. My family loves theirs JUST browned, so we pulled ours out just a minute later and they were perfect!

Toasty brown marshmallow tops. All you need to do now is grab another graham cracker square and pop them right on top of the marshmallow and push down. And there you have your indoor S’mores!

Seriously gooey, yummy campfire treats right in the comfort of home! But don’t stop there! Grab a blanket or sleeping bag, set up a teepee or tent for your kiddos and make an afternoon of it!

My family was totally up for an indoor S’mores camping playdate.

I mean it’s not all that often that we get to go camping outdoors, so it was fun to bring the outdoors in! And tasty S’mores treats were tops on the list.

In celebration of summer’s most iconic treat, Honey Maid, Hershey’s and Jet-Puffed have recently launched the short film, “First S’more – #ShareSmore.” The film captures five city-dwelling families enjoying a s’more for the first time in an urban oasis setting at Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, NY. With little access to the outdoors, it is likely that many families living in cities and suburbs have not experienced a campfire or the classic tradition of roasting a s’more. Such a sweet video!
