Hi friends! Today I’m sharing with you a quick and easy tutorial to make your very own Back to School Tulle Teacher Apple Wreath! If you’re new around here, one thing you will learn quickly is that I love tulle. Now that may seem strange since I only have boys at home, so there are no tutus being made over here! But actually I love to incorporate the material in fun, fluffy, easy-to-make wreaths. Don’t get me wrong, I love a cute yarn wreath as much as the next gal, but I don’t usually have the time to put into one. So tulle is my answer. Here are a few that I’ve made and showcased on A Night Owl:
St Patrick’s Day :: Easter :: Memorial Day/4th of July
Well now it’s time for the kiddos to head back to school. And our 3 year old has actually started preschool so I now get to partake in the back to school goodness! Now school has already started for us, but many of you may still be preparing to head back, so I wanted to share with you a fun, easy Tulle Apple Wreath I made as a gift for my son’s teacher!
And here’s a quick how-to: I used a heart-shaped wreath form, two rolles of red tulle, part of a roll of green tulle, red ribbon, a wooden “E”, and brown foam paper. I simply cut similar lengths of red tulle and grabbing two at a time, tied them around the wreath form. Once the form was mostly covered, I tied longer lengths of green tulle to tie around the top as “leaves” of the apple. I then cut out a stem from brown foam paper and glued to the green tulle. I the spray painted the wooden “E” with a little chalkboard paint and used some chalk to give it some character. I glued a piece of ribbon to the “E” and tied it onto the wreath. Lastly I glued a ribbon to the back of the wreath for hanging. For a full picture tutorial check out my first tulle wreath post!
I hope you enjoy this little Back to School and Teacher’s Gift project!
