Trader Joe's Pancake Bread Recipe

Bread Ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 C pure maple syrup
  • 1 C full fat sour cream
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x5 glass loaf pan with pam baking spray, set aside
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the topping ingredients and set aside
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until combined
  4. Using a standing mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until combined, smooth and creamy
  5. Beat in eggs, One at a time until combined
  6. Mix in the maple syrup, sour cream and vanilla
  7. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined and smooth
  8. Pour batter into the loaf pan
  9. Sprinkle the topping ingredients onto the top of the batter
  10. Bake in the oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  11. Allow to cool completely before removing from pan and enjoying!
