Hi friends! Sharing another fun and sweet Valentine’s Day project with you today – these Succulent Valentines! As we move away from candy gifts (ok, I still want those), it’s still nice to give friends and loved ones tokens for Valentine’s Day, right? And today this is one of those sweet gifts. Succulents are one of my favorite plants, mostly because they are so low maintenance but yet still beautiful! They can brighten up a window sill, your kitchen or even a desk. They’re a great way to add a bit of life in any space. So why not give one away as a sweet Succulent Valentine this year? I found these Jiffy pots that are really just seed starter pots, so they’re not a permanent planting solution. However, I just LOVED their texture, like burlap! I thought they would be so pretty painted! If you can’t find the same – it would be just as cute to paint any clay planting pots.
What you’ll need:
- Succulents
- Jiffy pots (starter pots)
- DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface Satins
- Paintbrush
And the steps:
- Simply paint your succulent pots with Americana Multi-Surface Satins (they work on everything)! Flamingo and Lipstick hues make for festive Valentine’s pots – with alternating stripes or hearts!
- Let dry and pop your succulent plants in – that easy!
And the result? A completely adorable Succulent Valentine!
So fun and easy, don’t you think? If you have Valentines that you need to think of this year, you could easily pick up some small succulent plants and decorate a few planters for a sweet Succulent Valentine gift! What Valentine plans do YOU have this year?
