Stylish Laundry Room Storage Ideas

Hi friends! I don’t know about you, but the new year for us has been the start to cleaning, purging and organizing our house! I’m sure much of it we’ll end up showing you here – maybe more the AFTER and not the before because yikes! This past year was busy and we sure did get behind. The first stop? Probably the cleanest, smallest and easiest room in the building, our laundry room. So here you have it – our Stylish Laundry Room Storage Ideas with Better Homes and Gardens products at Walmart and ALL for UNDER $100!

We’ve been in our house for about 4 years now and the laundry room is truly the last horizon. I truly mean it was the last room in our house that had white walls. So for this update, we started with a little paint. A trip to Walmart was all we needed to get started. Just a quart of chalkboard paint transformed this room with the help of an accent wall! While we haven’t used it yet, I have grand plans of sketching out a laundry schedule on this very wall. I figure it will help me get organized and be MORE motivated to do laundry, right (please say yes, because the struggle is real)?

Now on to storage and organization! Here are the components that we felt were necessary after loads and loads of laundry done in this room:

STORAGE CRATES: I just love these Wooden Milk Crates by BHG! I purchased four, which fit perfectly on the shelf above our washer and dryer. I have a confession, once I transferred what was currently on that shelf to the crates, we still have TONS of room! So we’re definitely going to move some things to the laundry room and take advantage of this additional stylish storage space!

DETERGENT JAR: Now whether you use powder detergent or pods like us, you can benefit from a large jar to get it out of those eyesores of packages and into something more stylish! You could go with a large glass jar, but we opted for this adoarble BHG Chalkboard Cookie Jar! Obviously I’m a sucker for anything chalkboard.

BAMBOO TRAY: I feel like this little BHG Bamboo Serving Tray has lived so many lives! Perfect for entertaining, this tray is also perfect for wrangling your laundry goodies into one convenient place.

LAUNDRY BASKET: I was smitten with this BHG Rectangular Caged Hamper the moment I saw it! Not only does it look great in your space, I love that it’s on casters and I can roll it around! Our laundry room is right next to our boys’ rooms which HELLO, is perfect. I feel like I’m going their laundry everyday! So this hamper is perfect for me to roll right into their rooms and pick up the load for that day. Easy peasy – and stylish too!

DRYING RACK: This is my most favorite upgrade to our laundry room! I remember oohing and ahhing over this BHG Wall Mounted Drying Rack way back at the BHG Style Showcase! I knew that once we got around to updating our laundry that I would HAVE TO have it. And I was right! This rack is perfect for drying items that you don’t want to toss in the dryer. It’s also great if you’re ironing and hanging up shirts as you go. But my probably my MOST favorite use for the drying rack is hanging up clothes straight out of the dryer! There are so many things I would rather not fold or cart around the house, but rather hang them up fresh out of the dryer. I just love it and would highly recommend the purchase. It was super easy and quick to install too!
