Hi friends! I know this guy looks familiar…did you know that before we had Glitter Reindeer Ornaments that we made this guy? Rudolph the Glitter Reindeer! That’s right, a few weeks ago when we hosted the Michaels Pinterest Party at our local Michaels store, this fun glitter reindeer was just one of the projects that we completed. It was so fun and so easy, that we wanted to share with you! Michaels has these large wooden reindeer plaques that you just have to get your hands on! From there, the project is simple…
What you’ll need:
- Wooden reindeer plaque (from Michaels)
- Glitter scrapbook paper
- Decoupage
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue gun/glue
- Sequined ball
And the steps:
- Trace the reindeer pattern on to the back of the glitter scrapbook paper.
- Cut out the design.
- Cover the wooden reindeer plaque with decoupage and secure the glitter paper over the reindeer.
- Using a glue gun, hot glue a red sequined ball on to the nose of the reindeer for that classic “Rudolph” look and feel!
Of course you could just leave the glitter reindeer as is without the red nose, but I thought it was too cute to NOT add!
We have this big guy hanging up in our house as we speak! It was such a fun and QUICK project, something you can undertake in just minutes! I am LOVING all things reindeer this year and there are so many ways to dress them up.
How would you decorate your reindeer?
Like this project? Then you’ll LOVE this Moss Covered Reindeer I shared over at Tatertots & Jello!
