Hi friends! We’re continuing on with our Trim Your Tree series today with these Gold Spray Painted Ornaments by my friend Jessica of Flecky Photography! Jessica is a working mom like me but has a wonderful creative side and is a talented photographer! Let’s take a look at what she has for us today…
Hello friends, this is Jessica of Flecky Fotography. I am so glad Kim invited me to participate in this year’s Trim Y our Tree series! What beautiful and creative ornaments we’ve seen so far!
Like most of you, this time of year is hectic for me but also ignites a crafty, creative urge to make things. I am a full-time working mom and photographer so when I get a chance to de-stress it’s usually at the craft table! This year I went with something super simple that I wanted to use on my own tree. I’m loving gold accents this year and I recently discovered gold foil spray paint. This stuff is amazing and surprisingly inexpensive.
My ornament craft for you is Gold Spray-painted Porcelain Ornaments. I was browsing my local craft store and found these adorable porcelain Christmas shaped ornaments.
They came in several shapes and are a natural white color. I then grabbed a chevron stencil, stencil adhesive and of course a can of Krylon Gold Foil spray paint.
What you’ll need:
- Porcelain ornaments
- Krylon Gold Foil spray paint
- Stencils
- Stencil adhesive
And the steps:
- Simply attach the stencil to the ornament using the stencil adhesive
- Spray with Krylon Gold Foil spray paint.
- Once the patterned side is dry, I sprayed the entire back of the ornament solid gold to give it another look.
Loop in a gold string and wa-la! Gold Spray Painted Ornaments! So simple yet chic!
So what do you think? Will you grab some Krylon Gold Foil spray paint and make your own spray painted ornaments this year? It’s a quick and easy holiday craft that I’m sure you’ll love!
XO, Jessica
