Pure sunshine in a dystopian world. ☀️🥹 Thank you Pure sunshine in a dystopian world. ☀️🥹

Thank you to our friends at @sonypictures, @penguinbooks, and @alliedglobalmarketing for the opportunity to screen KLARA AND THE SUN early! 🎬

Based on the bestselling novel by Kazuo Ishiguro and directed by Taika Waititi, KLARA AND THE SUN follows a solar-powered android who becomes a companion to a sick teenage girl and her family.

I went into this one pretty much blind. I hadn’t read the book, had only seen the trailer, and didn’t know what to expect. And WOW, was I pleasantly surprised!

Jenna Ortega was pure JOY. ☀️ Quirky, lovable, and endearing, she absolutely carried this film. I was captivated by her performance! And the cinematography? BRILLIANT. I’ve always loved Taika Waititi’s style, and this film was beautifully done.

But what I wasn’t expecting? THE EMOTIONS. 🥹 I had my youngest with me, and by the end, we were BOTH in tears. Such a sweet, heartfelt, and thought-provoking story about love, friendship, and humanity.

I especially think this is a must-see for teen girls! And now? I absolutely NEED to read the book! 📖❤️

☀️ KLARA AND THE SUN is in theaters now!

Gotham just got a whole lot creepier. 😳🦇 CLAYFACE Gotham just got a whole lot creepier. 😳🦇 CLAYFACE takes us into the darker, grittier side of the DC Universe, and WOW, what a ride!

The story follows rising actor Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), whose life takes a horrifying turn when he’s brutally disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his career, he turns to an experimental treatment that transforms him into something far more terrifying.

First, the cast was FANTASTIC. Tom Rhys Harries absolutely delivered, bringing so much depth to a character whose desperation and motivations you genuinely understand. The supporting cast was equally impressive, and I loved how quickly the film established each character’s backstory without dragging things out. You understand who these people are, what drives them, and why their decisions matter.

And here’s something I really appreciated: You don’t need to know ANYTHING about the comics to enjoy this movie! Whether you’re a longtime DC fan or completely new to the character, the storytelling makes everything easy to follow while still giving you a fascinating look into the darker side of Gotham.

Now, let’s talk about the creepy factor. 👀 This isn’t your typical jump-scare horror movie, but it IS graphic. There’s plenty of violence and gore, and while the filmmakers don’t dwell on it unnecessarily, they certainly don’t shy away from showing it. Be prepared!

Overall, CLAYFACE was a fantastic watch. Great performances, compelling characters, excellent pacing, and a story that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Definitely one I’d recommend!

⚠️ PARENTS: This one earns its R rating! CLAYFACE is Rated R for strong bloody violence, gore, language, some nudity, and brief drug use. There’s quite a bit of graphic content, so definitely leave the kids at home for this one.

🎬🍿 CLAYFACE in theaters October 23rd!
