Hi friends! Do you have a graduation party around the corner? I have a little one graduating from Kindergarten and I’ve had some fun themed graduation parties on my mind. Last year I created some printables for graduation gifts or for kids rooms and I just love the theme for graduation…and that was the start of our Oh The Places You’ll Go Graduation Party!

In preparation for our graduation party – we headed down to our local Michaels for party supplies! Michaels is celebrating every occasion this summer with gifts for Moms, Dads and teachers, and parties to celebrate birthdays, graduation, and the 4th of July! If you’re not used to shopping Michaels for party supplies – think again!

We anchored our party set up with a small suitcase and globe. We found the suitcase at Michaels and it was a fun Paris theme. Just a few coats of acrylic paint and it perfectly matched our theme and is the perfect spot for cupcakes! For our toppers we grabbed little fabric graduation cap stickers and simply attached them to picks to give our cupcakes some graduation flair.

Then we grabbed a large chalkboard plaque and added “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” in vinyl to tie the theme together. We added a little Recollections tassel garland and a cake plate full of yummy cookies. Michaels also has a great stock of cute jars and we picked this chalkboard label jar, perfect for our kettle corn! Lastly, we snagged a few adorable mason jar drink jars that matched our theme perfectly.

In the end, this was a cute and FUN party to put together! And a great idea if you have a graduation party of your own coming up. I think we’ll definitely end up doing this for our son’s Kindergarten graduation party, he just loved all the goodies! It’s never too early to get started on your next party or celebration – Michaels.com has more project ideas and instructions for you and your kids to make this year – check out projects for Mother’s Day ,Father’s Day, graduation, birthday and even summer. Let’s celebrate!
As a toast to the last Michaels Makers post of the season, we created gifts, baked treats and threw parties for each of the six holidays this summer. Be sure to click around and see them all!

Love your graduation party ideas Kimberly, you did great job on those. The globe is perfect embellishment.
Our Granddaughter that is graduating high school will be going to college in San Rafael, CA in the Fall so the globe and Dr. Suess quote are quite appropriate. Will have to get Mom’s/g-d’s approval first of course before I make anything. Luckily there are several wonderful ideas for graduation party decorations on the net.
Hope you are enjoying a wonderfully glorious Spring and happy weekend.
I’ve always loved this book for graduations, at all ages. I love your ideas for the party!! My little one is graduating from preschool this year, he’s on his way!
Visiting you from the Saturday Sharefest!
