Hi friends! Are you a fan of GREAT food and date nights? I know that we are. One of our favorite things to do for date night is head out for a delicious meal. We recently had the opportunity to head out to P.F. Chang’s for Happy Hour to try out their Seasonal Summer Menu and WOW let me tell you we were impressed! A quick shoutout to our P.F. Chang’s in Goodyear, AZ for the amazing service and food!
Our date night was really a date “day”…an afternoon per se. When the boys were still at school so no babysitter required, how awesome is that?! We grabbed a Spicy Paloma with Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila and fresh jalapeño slices, balanced with freshly-squeezed white grapefruit juice and a Pink Cherry Cosmo with Absolut Citron Vodka and Cointreau Liqueur with fresh lime juice and cranberry juice garnished with a Pink Blush cherry. Delicious! A great way to kick off our Happy Hour.
Next up we tried the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Spring Rolls, made with lemongrass chicken, julienne carrots, celery root, cilantro, peanuts, Thai basil and mint wrapped in cool rice paper, with a sweet chili dipping sauce and an Heirloom Tomato Salad made with market-fresh heirloom tomatoes, avocado, Thai basil and zesty ponzu dressing. Both were great starters to any meal! I particularly enjoyed the avocado with the heirloom tomatoes – delicious!
Now it was time to head into the entrees! We wanted to TRY THEM ALL! We had Chiang Mai Curry Noodles with Chicken – sliced chicken breast wok-tossed with egg noodles, Fresno peppers, cilantro and a coconut-curry infused broth, garnished with Brussels sprouts and topped with crispy wontons. I’m not even a huge curry fan, but these noodles were fantastic! And don’t get me started on the Cantonese Lemon Chicken – fresh, crispy whole chicken breast sliced and drizzled with warm lemon sauce and served with chilled broccolini salad! This was one of my favorites and I’ll definitely be ordering it again!
And I may have just saved the best for last! My favorite Summer dish hands down was the Orange Peel Shrimp made with Hunan chili sauce and fresh orange slices, garnished with daikon sprouts. And tops on my husband’s list is the Seared Ahi with Wasabi Guacamole! Yellowfin tuna, seared and served rare, topped with wild baby arugula and green beans in a chili-lime ponzu sauce, served with wasabi guacamole. They were ALL such amazing dishes. Don’t you just feel like you could reach through your phone or computer right now and snag a bite? Trust me – you’ll want to! So head down to your local P.F. Chang’s ASAP to order these decadent dishes! But before we go…I want to tell you about a little contest.
