Hi friends! Halloween is quickly approaching – so let the DIYs begin! The past few weeks I’ve been working on gathering inspiration – from our 25 Halloween Decor Ideas to Dollar Store Pumpkins – Done 25 Ways, I am ready to get going on our spooky decor! With Halloween means lots of candy and fun parties, right? So if you’re looking for some Halloween Favor Bags that are adooooorable and super easy to make – well you’ve come to the right place!
Have you used the NEW Americana Multi-Surface Satins? I introduced them to you with our recent Stenciled Painted Clipboard project and I am in LOVE! Seriously, using the stuff everywhere, well…because you can! I’m painting all sorts of things that I couldn’t before. So when I thought of this cute little halloween favor bags project, I knew that the multi-surface satins would be perfect!
What you’ll need:
- Americana Multi-Surface Satins (I used pumpkin patch, leprechaun and cottonball)
- Muslin bags (I picked up from Pick Your Plum)
- Cardboard
- Sharpie
- Candy!
And the steps:
- Slip a piece of cardboard into each bag so that the paint does not bleed through to the other side.
- Paint your muslin bags with Americana Multi-Surface Satins.
- Once dry, draw on face shapes – I did a jack-o-lantern, a Frankenstein and a ghost.
- Fill with candy and voila!
Perfectly adorable Halloween Favor Bags!
Seriously – these are even bags your kids can help make! Mine might make a mess of things – they’re still in the “washable water colors” phase, but especially since it’s just a simple paint and draw project – this would be a perfect craft project for the youngins’! So what do you think? Will you add these cute Halloween Favor Bags to your Halloween to-do list this year? If so, don’t forget to pick up your Americana Multi-Surface Satins! They are available for purchase at Michaels, A.C. Moore, Hobby Lobby, and other fine craft retailers. Happy crafting!

My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy for wanting to do a DIY halloween treat bag for the kids, but I think they are adorable. I am so happy I came across this blog post, I can’t wait to show him how fun it will be for me to make and how much the kiddos will love them!
