Smooth, rich chocolate flavor mellows the taste of bourbon in this Chocolate Bourbon Cocktail.
What’s better than chocolate? Chocolate in a cocktail!
It’s true, I’m a huge chocolate addict. The other week, while picking up some wine at my local Total Wine and More, I stumbled onto some amazing chocolate liqueur. I was instantly smitten. One sip and it was as if I had just taken a bite of pure chocolate.
Needless to say, I’ve been trying to come up with a few recipes before I simply start drinking it straight from the bottle. And, honestly, I can’t be trusted.
I’ve never been a huge fan of bourbon, but maybe that’s because I’ve only really ever tried it on the rocks. The flavor is just too strong for me. I decided to try mixing it with the chocolate liqueur, and it’s fabulous! The creamy richness of the liqueur tames the flavor of bourbon, without overpowering it. It’s a perfect combination!
