Hi Y’all, its Alli from Made with HAPPY here with a fun new concoction that is all kinds of HAPPY just in time for Summer – a delicious Boozy Watermelon Sorbet!
Have you ever tried making sorbet at home? Sounds complicated right? Well, guess what? Pretty much the easiest most delicious dessert you can ever make. In most cases you only need two ingredients and no need for an ice cream maker! Now that’s my kind of dessert!
Boozy Watermelon Sorbet
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 cups cubed watermelon
- 1 oz coconut rum
- Shredded coconut and mint for garnish
Instructions
-
Simple Syrup
-
Heat water and sugar in a pot over medium heat till sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool
-
Sorbet
-
In blender combine watermelon and simple syrup until fully blended into a liquid form. Pour into a metal or glass 13x9 baking dish and into the freezer for 8 hours. Using an ice cream scoop, serve two scoops in a bowl. Pour the coconut rum around the edges for the adults. Garnish with shredded coconut and mint.
The sorbet is delicious by itself, but for those looking for a little boozy action, I highly recommend a shot of coconut rum floated around the sides.
Cheers to a Made with HAPPY Boozy Watermelon Sorbet!
