Perfect for Shark Week or your shark loving kiddos, these Strawberry Lemonade Chumsicles are sure to be a hit!
Hi friends! It’s HERE! It’s officially the start of Shark Week – which is like a holiday in our household. With three boys, it’s really no wonder. So each year we try to do some fun things – fun crafts and special treats – to celebrate! I already shared some fun Shark Week Outfit Ideas and today we’re going to share one of our first fun treats for the week – these Strawberry Lemonade Chumsicles!
Now if you’re a fan of sharks – then you likely know that “chumming” the water is a process that marine biologists and more use to try to attract sharks. While real chum is not something that anyone wants to be around, the “chum” that we used in this treat is just sliced strawberries in sugar – YUM!
TO MAKE: Simply fill the bottom third of your popsicle mold with thawed sliced strawberries in sugar – you can usually find a tub of it in the frozen section of your local grocer. Let that layer freeze for a bit then top it with some “ocean blue” lemonade! I found a few different kinds of blue lemonade at the grocer or you could even use a blue sports drink as well. This represents the ocean!
Add the lid, pop in the popsicle sticks and freeze overnight! Once frozen – you have perfectly fun, festive and let me say TASTY Strawberry Lemonade Chumsicles!
They’re so easy to make and such a fun and festive treat for Shark Week – don’t you think? My boys were literally chomping at the bit to get their hands on them.
