Honey Caramel Corn

Do you love caramel corn but don't love using corn syrup? Then this is the caramel corn for you! Made with sweet honey, it's equally as delicious!

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup honey local honey is my preference
  • 3 Tbsp. oil or butter
  • ΒΌ tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda


  1. Pour popped popcorn into a large casserole dish .
  2. Heat the honey, oil & salt in a saucepan until bubbly.
  3. Keep at a low boil, whisking occasionally, for 4-5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken.
  4. Add the baking soda, whisk and pour over the popcorn.
  5. Mix until popcorn is well coated. (This is very hot so use caution).
  6. Bake for 1 hour at 275 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Pour into a large container & allow to cool before serving.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
  9. Optional: Add nuts to the popcorn before topping with the caramel.
