Mascarpone Cloud Frosting

Fluffy cloud frosting made with Italian cream cheese to top your cupcakes!

  • 4 Tbsp butter room temperature
  • 5 oz mascarpone cheese room temperature
  • 1 C powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 C heavy cream chilled


  1. Whip butter and mascarpone together until light and well-mixed.
  2. Add powdered sugar and salt and beat well.
  3. Add cream and beat on high until fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Use immediately. Or just eat immediately. Either way.
