Boozy Watermelon Sorbet

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 oz coconut rum
  • Shredded coconut and mint for garnish


  1. Simple Syrup
  2. Heat water and sugar in a pot over medium heat till sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool
  3. Sorbet
  4. In blender combine watermelon and simple syrup until fully blended into a liquid form. Pour into a metal or glass 13x9 baking dish and into the freezer for 8 hours. Using an ice cream scoop, serve two scoops in a bowl. Pour the coconut rum around the edges for the adults. Garnish with shredded coconut and mint.
