Cinnamon Apple Cheddar Biscuits

Delicious baked biscuits filled with apples and cheddar, and rolled in cinnamon-sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple peeled, cored and diced
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray; set aside.
  3. Combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl toss together biscuit mix, cheese and apples.
  5. Make a well in the center and add milk.
  6. Stir using a wooden spoon until dough holds together.
  7. Using the palms of your hands, form dough into 16 balls.
  8. Dip each dough-ball in melted butter and roll in sugar mixture.
  9. Arrange dough-balls on previously prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Serve.
