How to Host a Wine Party | Wine Party Ideas

Hi friends! Today we’re talking wine and wine parties. How fun does that sound?! There’s nothing better than grabbing your best girlfriends or having a couples night with delicious wine and appetizers! And that’s just what we did, and it was effortless thanks to some easy party tips and great wine by Kendall-Jackson AVANT! Want to learn how to host your own wine party? THE SETTING. When I think about wine,it always reminds me of rustic wine barrels and natural colors and elements. So for our wine party we used a rustic buffet, wooden baskets and tray with accents of galvanized steel and lace. You can take your wine party any which direction you like, but stick with a theme. Just a few elements and colors will give your setting a cohesive and beautiful look. And don’t be afraid to “DIY” your party! THE SPREAD. First off, you want to think about “the spread.” Are you serving just appetizers and dessert perhaps or the full blown meal? In our case we just served light snacks and dessert, along with some delicious K-J AVANT wines. Classic cheese trays, crackers and olives (what we served) are always a hit. Or you could even take it one step further with an antipasto tray filled with cured meats, fresh cheeses, and herbs. These classics pair well with wine and are surely crowd pleasers!

If you’re serving just light appetizers and snacks, you’ll also want to balance out your cheese and olives with something a little sweeter. For this party I was feeling a little adventurous in the kitchen so I whipped up a lovely Lemon Cake with Cheesecake Frosting that I topped with fresh blueberries. We also had small Cinnamon Crumb Cakes that were oh so delicious.

THE WINE. Have we talked enough about the food yet? I know it’s all delicious, but if you’re hosting a wine party, it’s really ALL about the wine, right? Well let me tell you, you have to consider Kendall-Jackson AVANT Wines for your next party or get together. There is something for everyone.
