Hi friends! We’re a few days into our Trim Your Tree series this year, are we having fun yet? I am – I hope you are! I obviously love making things, but I think one of my favorite things about making Christmas ornaments are not only that they are fun and festive – but they are quick! You can knock out a craft in just minutes, and sometimes that’s ALL the time I have! And today is one of those super quick ornaments because again we’re using washi tape! Did you see our Washi Tape Monogram Ornament from Monday? Well this time we’re sharing Washi Tape Cookie Cutter Ornaments!
That’s right! I simply grabbed a few supplies from my local Michaels store (who has everything you need for Christmas crafting and decor) and we made these fun ornaments at our Michaels Pinterest Party!
What you’ll need:
- Cookie cutter
- Washi tape
- Twine
And the steps:
- Simply line the outside of the cookie cutter (and/or the inside too!) with washi tape.
- Tie twine around the ornament to hang!
Just that easy!
I love how this one turned out with the white and gold, since those match our decor this year. But my friend Parisa is doing aqua and red (love that combo!) and here is how hers turned out…
Aren’t these washi tape cookie cutter ornaments so cute? And can you believe how easy they are to make?! So grab your cookie cutters and washi tape and get to work! I’d love to see if you make some as well… What will we share tomorrow for hte next in our Trim Your Tree series? Be sure to stop by and find out!

Hi Ashlee! I just used twine rope and tied a regular knot at the top! Hope that helps!
