If you’re a mom on the go, rushing from one activity or function to the next – follow these Tips to Keep Kids Hydrated.
Sip coconut water. Beneficial after prolonged exercise, coconut water may be the perfect beverage for restoring hydration and replenishing electrolytes lost during activity. But you may have noticed that kiddos don’t always love the taste. Enter Welch’s NEW 100% Juice with Coconut Water. My kids LOVE Welch’s juice! And honestly they’re a bit of health nuts so while they love the idea of coconut water, we haven’t found one that they enjoyed. So when they heard that Welch’s 100% Juice with Coconut Water has great taste and 100% juice, with all the added benefits of coconut water and naturally 30% less sugar, they could not wait to try it! And with no added sweetener or sugar and no artificial flavors added I was happy to oblige.
Make it a routine. We have three kids, two frequently coming and going so keeping track of each one can be a chore! So we have set times during the day where we’re sure to make the kids load up on liquids. Before leaving for school, as soon as they get home from school, before leaving for football or taekwondo practice and at dinner. They are welcome to fill in the gaps during the day (and we know they get water breaks at school), but by making this a routine for us we’re sure that they’re getting enough liquids in a day.
Hydrated and happy, my boys are able to keep up with their active schedule and I’m happy to keep up with them.
