Hi friends! In our world of cute crafts and fabulous food, today we’re going to talk about the NOT so pretty. I’ve got it – chances are you do too. It’s a dirty little secret that doesn’t have to be…I’m talking about MOLD. Did you know mold can grow in as little as 48 hours in the right conditions? All it needs is a moist, room temperature environment and an organic food source for it to feed on. That’s why mold can be especially prevalent in places like bathrooms and basements. Does that freak you out? It does me a little, especially with little ones running around! So it’s a good thing we’ve discovered Tilex® Mold and Mildew.
Tilex® Mold and Mildew Remover contains Clorox® Bleach, and disinfects as it kills 99.9% of household mold and mildew on hard, nonporous surfaces. There is no scrubbing required – just spray it, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse. Say what?! Now even I have time for that kind of cleaning. So I did the test. I walked around to the bathrooms in our home that I thought were clean to check for the dirty little secret.
What did I look for? Well you can spot mold in your home as black stains in your grout or red stains on your shower curtain. Mold appears as discolored patches and any time you spot mold it’s time to disinfect. Soap and detergents are not enough to kill mold, even though they may remove mold stains. In fact, any mold that is left behind can regrow quickly.
While most of our surfaces were clean, I found suspicious “black stuff” near the drains. So I sprayed them ALL and waited 5. Just a simple rinse and we were back and ready for business! Use Tilex® Mold and Mildew Remover on many bathroom surfaces including: glazed ceramic tile, grout, tubs, fiberglass, glass shower doors, vinyl curtains, sinks and no-wax floors. Spray and allow mildew stains to disappear, then rinse well.
So I bet you didn’t think much about mold and mildew like me – until now. Do a bathroom check! If you encounter mold or mildew on bathroom surfaces, which you’ll recognize as patches of black, green, pink or red stains, it’s time to get out Tilex® Mold and Mildew Remover. Want to learn more?
