Well, it’s about time that I updated my mantel. If I’m completely honest with you, I still had the decor from the 4th of July still up. Until this weekend. Until I was finally inspired to update it when I received a beautiful print from the ladies behind Well Said. You can check out this lovely “Life is” print on Etsy and stay tuned for information as to how you can win your own 8×10 print from Well Said!
So I paired the “Life is” print with my fun Holga camera on two little boxes I picked up from Hobby Lobby. Then on the second shelf I took added a topiary upcycle and twine “S” from my Easter Mantel, and a frame that I picked up a few months ago from Goodwill. I simply added two rows of twine and used small clothespins to hang a few of my favorite Instagram pictures!
So how do you think it turned out? I really enjoy it, first that my mantel is updated, but also that it’s something that is versatile. I can see updating the pictures here and there to keep it fresh. And it all started with inspiration from a Well Said print.

super cute!! I’ve been inspired, now if I could just find a mantle! 🙂
Haha, right? I just hung these shelves on our entryway wall because we didn’t have one! I love updating them!
Looks great!
Thanks Liz!
Did you just print out the pics in a 4 by 6 and trim them?!
Hi Ruthie! I printed out a sheet of them on matte photo paper. We have a Canon printer so it does great with pics! Then I cut out the squares.
The mantel is adorable!! Love it, Kimberly. I love how you incorporated the colors too. HUGS!!
Thanks Kelly!
Oh I love that! Did you put that on Instagram yet? 🙂 I especially like how easily it can be updated. So simple too!
Hahaha! I have not! I’ll have to do that! Thanks Raquel!

Thanks Andrea!
I love your mantel!! That print is so much fun and I adore the way you’ve displayed your family pictures. Just perfect!!
Thanks Emily!
You know, I have a holga too. But I can’t find the film. I know I can get it online, but it’s super duper expensive! I will just have to do something like this!!! I need that print in my life!!!
Natalie – I got mine through Amazon! It’s not cheap, but I don’t use it that often. I kinda think it looks cuter up there! 🙂
LOVE your mantle! I think I want to do this for the holidays! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!
XOXO

Ohhh thank you Holly! So sweet of you to stop by and comment! Thanks for hosting your fab party tonight!
This is so cute! I had no idea (or never really thought about) that you could print instagram pics. How’d you do it?
Hi Laura! There are many ways you can print Instagrams, through applications like PostalPix or Prinstagram, but here I downloaded the pictures on to my computer (which you can do from your phone) or go to a web interface for IG like webstagram and save them. I then simply inserted them into PowerPoint, printed the page, and cut them out.
How fun!! I just LOVE IG! It’s so great to capture little moments in a beautiful format!
Thanks Candace!
OMG I love this! I wish I had a mantel to recreate this on. Oh well. The print is to die for–I’m gonna check that site out!
