Hi friends! Are you still mid-Christmas decorating like I am? I hope not, because at this rate I’m going to have to leave Christmas up all of January just to enjoy the last-minute things I’m putting up! Though today I’m sharing with you a Rustic Christmas Wreath that I literally put together in minutes. I was shopping at one of my favorite stores this weekend, Hobby Lobby, and I came across these beautifully rustic ready made frames that were of course, 50% off. So I snagged one and a box of beautiful cream glass ornaments and got to work! Here’s how I put the wreath together…
What you’ll need:
- Ready Made Frame (open wooden frame)
- Twine
- Thumbtacks
- Burlap Ribbon
- Ornaments
And the steps:
- I cut a length of burlap ribbon to hang the frame from and used a thumbtack to tack it to the back of the open wooden frame to hold it in place.
- I tied three lengths of twine to the ornaments.
- I tied a knot at the other end of the twine (to keep it from fraying), then simply used three thumbtacks to tack the ornament on twine to the back of the frame so that they hung from the center of the frame.
- And you’re done!
And here’s how it turned out…
Do you love it? I do! It’s simple and wonderfully rustic. It’s hanging in our kitchen now and I love that the hint of Christmas it brings to the room. Now if I could just get our front door wreath done I may just finish Christmas before Christmas comes this year! What are working on this week? Finishing up your shopping or still decorating like I am?
