Hi friends! Today I’m excited to not only bring you an easy and delicious Homemade Blueberry Muffins recipe, but remember, each month on the 12th, 11 of my bloggy friends and I are bringing you a delicious and easy recipe, with a theme! And the theme this month is 12 Brunch Recipes!
With Mother’s Day coming up, there’s nothing better than trying out and perfecting new brunch recipes. Breakfast and brunch are my MOST favorite meals! I always lean toward the sweet over the savory, so I set out to perfect a yummy blueberry muffin recipe. My husband didn’t mind at all, as those are his favorite!
Homemade Blueberry Muffins
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes
Servings 12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- ¼ cup softened butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 cups blueberries
Instructions

Cream together sugar and butter; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt.

Alternate adding the flour mixture and the milk to the butter and sugar.

Add blueberries and gently mix with spoon.

Fill 12 paper lined muffin cups ¾ full.

Sprinkle tops of muffin batter with turbinado sugar.

Bake 25-30 minutes or till golden brown.

I’m about to make this but I only have frozen blueberries.. Is it ok to use frozen?

Hi Ana – I think that would be fine! I would let them thaw a bit before baking. Enjoy!
