We all have to do it sometime or another: the ironing. But if you have to spend your valuable time and energy, why not use the best in the industry? I’m a fan of whatever the latest in technology has to offer, so when Hamilton Beach asked if I would like to review their new Durathon™ Digital Iron, I jumped at the chance. I mean, the last iron I owned had a turn dial for temperature where it’s always a guessing game. Time for a serious upgrade!
Here are some of the Durathon™ Digital Iron’s lovely features:
- Superior wrinkle removal
- 40% more continuous steam power than the leading competitor
- 10 times more durable than traditional nonstick
- Scratch-resistant durability
- Superior glide performance
- 10 year limited solpelate warranty
- Retractable cord
- Digital control panel
- 3-way auto shutoff
- Self clean
- 1700 Watts
Let me tell you, this iron is state-of-the-art. It’s noticably larger than irons I’ve owned before. At first I wasn’t sure how I would navigate it, but with such a smooth soleplate, it turned out to be quite effortless! And another thing I noted, with the larger iron, it took less time to cover more area. For instance, I ironed large tablecloths for a party on Saturday (you’ve been there, right? not fun!) and it only took minutes. Much less time than I am used to!
Another feature I adored is the retractable cord. And the cord is long!
The exact temperature is simple to set with the digital display.
And honestly, another feature I loved is the large opening for the water reservoir. Am I the only one who’s had trouble filling irons before? Well not with this one!
But the true test of any good iron? My husband’s dress shirts. Now if I was smart, I’d whip these shirts out of the dryer as soon as it finished to minimize wrinkles. But that’s not my reality. As a mom with little time, as I’m sure many of you are, by the time the husband needs his work shirts, they look like those on the left below. But the wrinkly shirts were no match for the Durathon™ Digital Iron!
And if you are into arts and crafts and use an iron for those means, you can’t find one better. The non-stick sole plate is virtually indestructible and has a 10-year warranty! Also, the steam performance is amazing! Perfect for sewing! But the iron also has a simple switch to shut off steam if your art project calls for that as well. So versatile!
But that’s not it! Hamilton Beach is also offering one lucky reader the chance to win their very own Durathon™ Digital Iron (RV $49.99)! So what are you waiting for?
