Magnolia Market at the Silos

Hi friends! If you follow me on Instagram you may remember that I visited Magnolia Market earlier this year with my mother. It was the trip of a lifetime! I mean, we had so much fun that I think we’re planning another trip during the holidays just to see how the market is transformed for Christmas.

Chip and Joanna Gaines have created such an amazing spot in the Magnolia Market at the Silos. Located in quaint Waco, Texas, Magnolia Market is sure to be a hit with the whole family. From lawn games to food trucks and even a bakery you can easily spend a full day with the family at the Magnolia Market at the Silos.

So first, I’m going to break down the different areas you can find at the Silos then we’ll go into a few tips to make the most of your day there!

Life moves so fast these days. Slow down and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family on our lawn at the Silos. On the lawn you will find cornhole, potato sack races, and even a football to toss around. On any given sunny day the lawn is sure to be full of people enjoying the day. The food trucks at the Silos are second to none. You can find things like hot dogs, hamburgers, crepes, pizza, juice, tea and coffee — even a food truck from Magnolia Table! The Garden at Magnolia Market

Located in the back of the property you will find the Garden. In the Garden you can wander through beds of in season produce, beautiful flowers, and of course visit the Magnolia Seed and Supply.

Inside the Magnolia Seed and Supply you can pick up some gardening tools, kid friendly gardening starter kits (flowers and fairy gardens) and of course unique pots.

Silos Baking Co.

You can’t miss this onsite bakery. The recipes have been crafted and perfected by Joanna herself. Be sure to stop in and grab a snack. From biscuits to cookies to cupcakes, you won’t be disappointed.

Magnolia Market Tips

Crowds

Lunch time (especially on Saturdays) is the busiest time at the Silos. If you want to avoid the larger crowd, it is recommended to come around opening or closer to closing time. You can also plan your visit during the week instead of on the weekend.

Shipping

Good news! If you find something you must have from the Market and you don’t have enough room to bring it home (like if you flew to Texas like we did and you want to buy a large piece of wall decor), you can SHIP it to your home right from the market!

Seating

If you grabbed food from the food trucks or just need to cop a squat, there are a few different seating options at the silos. First under a huge gazebo with a great view of the silos, there are a number of picnic tables. These are the closest option to the food trucks and a great spot to sit and people watch. You can also just find a seat ON the lawn. It’s artificial turf so you’ll stay clean and tidy. There are also little bistro tables in front of the market entrance, right behind the Silos Baking Co. This area can be directly in the sun and is a little busier, but a cute spot to stop at if you get the chance.

Restrooms

The indoor bathrooms tend to acquire lines pretty quickly (especially during busier times). Outside by the Magnolia Table food truck and the Seed and Supply store you will find another set of restrooms.

Parking

No matter when you visit, you can park for free. Right off of 8th street you will find a parking lot just for the Magnolia Market. If that happens to be full though, there is a lot of on street parking. Another great option would be to park downtown (also for free) and take the short trolley ride to the Silos. Out of respect for other businesses, it is asked that if you are visiting the Silos to please not park in their parking lots.

Spending the day at the Magnolia Market at the Silos is the perfect way to unplug and just enjoy your family time. There is plenty to do and see (not to mention all of the delicious food to eat) where you can easily make a day of being at the Silos.
