Hi Abbey Heads! That’s right – if you’re here, if you clicked over from your email or from Facebook or Twitter or Pinterest…chances are you’re a Downton Abbey fan. And who could blame you? I’m RIGHT THERE with you. I didn’t learn about the amazing show until right before Season 3 and let me tell you – I binge watched Seasons 1 and 2 to get caught up. And it’s been downhill from there. I can’t wait until Season 5 next month – it’s just a couple weeks away! Last year I hosted a Downton Abbey Tea Party with World Market for my friends and this year we did this same, this time at my mother’s house, where I noshed on some scones and tea with my mom and nieces.
Welcome to our party! We picked up everything we needed at our local World Market. The Downton Abbey Shop is just fabulous, but that stuff goes fast so be sure to pick up everything they have left. Trust me! We set up my mother’s gorgeous hutch with all our tea party goodies, including the awesome Downton Abbey mugs that were available for customers on Black Friday. Boy were those a hit! Everything was just so pretty, it was easy to set up an appealing display…
From tea pots to tea cups to scones…our party was fit for royalty! And our table we topped with World Market Downton Abbey tea cups and wrapping paper (pro tip – wrapping paper makes for GREAT runners and party table toppers).
On our tea party table, finger sandwiches and sweet treats were easily accessible.
And on the tea party hutch, we displayed delicious scones and Walkers Shortbread. Now those cookies are the best! I always have to pick up extra during the holidays because they are my husband’s favorite. He’s not huge on sweets, but these buttery biscuits are tops on his list.
It was all so enjoyable! The quality products from World Market made it a breeze to put together!
