Hi friends! So last weekend, as you may well know, I hosted a Downton Abbey Tea Party at my house, along with friends and Abbey heads ALL over the country for World Market’s virtual tea party, #DoTheDownton! It was a blast – tons of yummy treats, great drinks, good friends – and giveaways! Can it BE any better? Leading up to the party I did some shopping at my FAVORITE store on the planet – Cost Plus World Market (shoutout to my Goodyear, AZ store, they ROCK)! I picked up everything we needed for one ahhhhmazingly fun party!
I picked up teacups, plates, treats and more! I purchased this amazing Wire 3-Tier Glass Drying Rack that I used to display our collection of tea cups! How fun is that?!
And for the place settings, no tea party is a party without Walkers Shortbread!
They look so festive on our Nantucket Dinnerware and spread out on a bamboo tiered stand we picked up there last year!
We even made DIY Teacup Candles with our World Market goods! Click here for the full tutorial!
The par-tay was so much fun! We shared all over social media – that was the point, right? Abbey Heads unite! Pinky up! Here is my friend Jen and ANO regular, joining in on the fun!
So what do you think? I think the Downton Abbey Tea Party was a BLAST, in fact, I think we’ll have to have another for the premiere of Season 4 next month! Now we’re all stocked up on tea party goodies – thanks to World Market!
I don’t watch downton abbey but this party is so cute! Love tea and love everything else about it. Great job!
Can’t wait for Downton Abbey to return. I may have to throw a tea party to celebrate!
Love this idea. Question: What are the tiny pies?
Hi Kimberly! I got those from World Market for our Downton Abbey party. I’m not sure if they still have them, but they were mini mincemeat pies. So cute, right?
Where did you find the DA teacups.. Love them
Hi there! I got them from Cost Plus World Market! I think all of their DA products are sold out, but you might want to double check if you have one nearby!
