How to Make Candy Cane Hot Cocoa
Now let’s get to the nitty gritty: how do you make hot chocolate on the stove? For this recipe, you simply stir together the milk, chocolate chips, cinnamon, and vanilla in small saucepan. Cook this over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the white hot chocolate comes to a simmer. (NOTE: do not let it come to a boil, boiled milk is no bueno.) Then remove the delicious hot cocoa from the heat and serve immediately, topped with whipped cream or marshmallows and festive sprinkles!
Tools Used to make this Recipe:
- Ceramic Saucepan: Once you use GreenPan, you won’t go back! I love these saucepans for easy cooking and serving.
- Cafe Glass Coffee Mugs: These are the best hot cocoa mugs and the best price I’ve found for the set.
- Festive Wooden Spoons: Not “necessary” but these candy cane spoons are so cute to serve along side your hot chocolate.
