Hi friends! It’s right around the corner – time for Back to School! And you know what that means? Time to ramp up those Back to School crafts and gifts! First up – I want to show you how I made this quick and adorable Chalkboard Magnetic Teacher Memo Board! I headed down to Joann’s to pick up all the things I needed for this project.
What you’ll need:
- Metal memo board
- Chalkboard spray paint
- Adhesive magnets
- Clothespins
- Wooden letters
- DecoArt white acrylic paint
- Washi tape
- Chalk
And the steps:
1. First I spray painted the metal memo board with a few light coats of chalkboard spray paint.
2. I then made clothespin, letter and washi tape magnets as seen below for fun additions to the magnetic memo board.
3. After 24 hours I conditioned the board with chalk and added the homemade magnets for an adorable result!
So fun, right? And so easy to replicate! And the best thing – I’m not sure what my son’s teacher’s name is for this year yet – so I can just update that once I do know. The awesomeness of chalkboards, right? Want more fun Back to School ideas?
