I am a big fan of root beer. I mean what’s not to love? The carbonation, the sweetness, the all around yumminess factor! One of the greatest things about root beer is how amazing it tastes with creamy ice cream in a root beer float. Well today I wanted to share an adult version of this childhood favorite, a little something I like to plain and simply call an Adult Root Beer Float. My version doesn’t have ice cream in it (but you could totally add it); in place I use just a touch of creamer as well as Smirnoff Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka, can you say yum?
If you haven’t noticed I’m a big fan of cocktails that are simple and just a few ingredients. This adult root beer float is no exception!
I thought it’d be fun to collaborate with my husband from Street Studios and produce a little how-to video for this yummy Adult Root Beer Float!
This drink could be so fun for a game night where you can make the non-alcoholic versions for the kiddos and the sweet, creamy, and alcoholic version for the parents. If you don’t have whipped cream flavored vodka I think this recipe would work well with plain vodka as well. Other flavors that you could try it with are marshmallow flavored vodka, vanilla flavored vodka, or even root beer flavored vodka! I especially love sipping on this sweet beverage on a warm summer night. It’s my go-to favorite drink when I want to have a cocktail and I love it so much that I am planning on making it my vacation drink of choice this coming August.
