Easy and delicious Homemade Lemonade Recipe! Perfect for Summer!

You see, I’m in South Texas and our winters are very mild.  People down here freak out when it drops below 60.  Seriously.  They bust out the winter coats for 50 degree weather and if there is ever a chance of snow, the whole city shuts down.  We just don’t know how to even deal with the cold weather.  So things like homemade lemonade are a year round drink down here.  You can get it at almost any restaurant any time of the year.

But if you happen to be covered in snow, or have snow on the way, then this lemonade will help you think of sunny days.  It brings back images of toes in the sand and palm trees, if you ask me.  Plus, it’s super easy to make.  So you can make a pitcher real quick and then run and drink it under the covers.  That’s what I would do if it were cold down here.

So grab some lemons, sugar and water and let’s get to making this homemade lemonade!  First we need to make a simple syrup – which is sugar and water.  Then we squeeze the lemons (I use one of these handheld lemon juicers and its super easy).  Then mix it all together and enjoy!

I’m laughing so hard right now. Your comment about the weather here in Texas is so true! We moved here to Houston almost 5 years ago and when the 50 degree temps hit I think it’s the end of the world 😉 Thanks for sharing this recipe…I will be sure to try it out.
