Hi friends! Today I’m excited to not only bring you the most delicious Baked Cake Donuts recipe, but just like we did last year, we’re continuing on with 12 Bloggers – 12 Months – 12 Ingredients (or less)! Remember, each month again this year on the 12th, 11 of my bloggy friends and I are bringing you a delicious and easy recipe, with a theme! And the theme this month is 12 Donut Recipes!

So I love a good donut recipe. I’m a big fan of donuts. But I have a weird family who isn’t all crazy about sugar covered ooey gooey donuts. In fact, my husband’s favorite donut is a basic cake donut. So when I set out to find a new donut recipe that we all could enjoy, I gave these Baked Cake Donuts a try!

Seriously just a few pantry ingredients are tossed into this recipe, which is one thing that I just love about it. Just about everything I had on hand and I just tossed a little batter into our mini donut maker and out came delicious, moist and dense donuts. Not too sweet, but if you like a little sweet, I have a solution!

Once your donuts are out of your maker or pan, brush with a little butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar! Now THAT’S my kind of donut. I have to admit I ate quite a few this way. My boys all loved the easy recipe – I hope you’ll give it a try to and let us know what you think!
